I can't get the commands to work from my control system.

We always recommend checking the RS232 commands for control directly from a laptop before getting it working on a control system. Do this using a known working straight-through control cable and use a terminal program such as Termite-https://www.compuphase.com/software_termite.htm

No Carriage Return on commands

All commands need to be sent with a carriage return after each command. please familiarise yourself with how to issue a carriage return <CR> on your particular control system as they are all different!
