Dishwasher

  • There is only one level of dishwasher. We don’t want to hire career dishwashers. We want to hire dishwashers that move up in the kitchen. Our hope is that someone only stays in the dishwasher role for a couple of months.

Prep Cook

  • Employed for at least 90 days

  • Passes the Basic Kitchen Menu Test

  • Passes the Basic Food Menu Test

  • Passes the Basic Kitchen Practical Test

  • Can handle prep station with minimum supervision

  • Prepares team lunch with no assistance

  • At least one completed Merit Card

  • Knows the five Core Values of the Beach Club

  • Recommended by immediate supervisor or HOD

Line Cook

  • Employed for at least 9 months

  • Passes the Advanced Kitchen Menu Test

  • Passes the Advanced Food Menu Test

  • Passes the Advanced Kitchen Practical Test

  • Suggests lunch specials to supervisor

  • Can handle kitchen with no supervision

  • Can handle line with up to 10 orders on the kitchen screen

  • At least two completed merit cards

  • Recommended by immediate supervisor or HOD

Lead Cook

  • Employed for at least 18 months

  • Trained at least one new kitchen staff

  • Can handle kitchen and events of any size

  • Knows how to cost and price a recipe

  • Demonstrates a willingness to teach less experienced team members

  • At least four completed merit cards

  • Recommended by immediate supervisor or HOD
